⬤ Foundation Shared data, standards, and access

Database Icon

Data Hub

A modeler looking for data can search one robust catalog that covers all key grid planning domains, see transparent quality grading for each dataset, and pull just the slice they need, instead of hunting across paywalled and scattered data sources.

Node Icon

Open Standards & Schema

A modeler pulling data into a tool, or comparing studies across teams and regions, does not need to reconcile definitions and formats because all OpenGrid data ties back to one common, comparable schema.

Code Icon

APIs & Integrations

Modelers, developers, and AI agents can query and act on all OpenGrid data and tools consistently and programmatically, whether through code, a chat interface, or a direct integration.

⬤ Applications Tools built on the foundation

Translate Icon

Translator

A modeler can move data, inputs, and outputs seamlessly between different grid tools’ formats and languages. Switching between tools and linking them together becomes trivial.

Compute Icon

Compute & Solver

A grid modeler runs their studies on a hardened, open-source-first solver-and-execution stack and gets real diagnostic help (infeasibility explanations, convergence troubleshooting, mid-run progress) instead of opaque failures. This removes both commercial-license dependence and the human time sink that dominates model execution.

Workflow Icon

Workflow Orchestration

A modeler defines a multi-step grid analysis once data prep, model runs, and reporting and re-runs it as a repeatable pipeline with automatic, validated handoffs between steps, instead of manually moving data between tools and babysitting each stage.

Plugin Icon

Model Plugins

A modeler keeps their existing modeling tool but connects it into the OpenGrid environment through a plugin, so the tool can consume Data Hub datasets, run as a step in an OpenGrid solver, and return results to the stack, without migrating off the tool.

UI Icon

GUI for Modeling

A non-coding user can build, configure, run, and inspect a grid model end to end through a graphical interface, on the OpenGrid stack.

Chart Icon

Output Visualization

A person who consumes rather than builds models a board member, an investment committee, a commissioner, the public can see a model’s results through grid-aware dashboards and charts, turning raw outputs into communicable decisions without a modeler hand-formatting them for each audience.
